Since I have more than an hour to kill until my mom can even leave to come get me from school (I'm so cool, my parents pick me up from college. Even this embarassing fact isn't enough to make me want to get my license though. Maybe I'm a tad too stubborn...) I decided to actually post in my journal instead of lurking around like I have been lately. I've been so busy, I haven't had time to...or really anything interesting in talking about on here. Not that I have anything interesting to say now, I just have time to kill...anywho...

I'm sitting in Pawley Hall, freezing my butt off. I really don't think they have the heat on in here yet. Where is my snuggie when I need it?
 I had to meet with an advisor about scheduling for next semester today, and she got really angry with me because apparently I am unprepared for graduation...even though I'm not graduating til 2013. Who knew that you were suposed to (alledgely) plan out your entire schedule for all four years on your first day of orientation? I really don't think she had a clue what she was talking about.

This last weekend Laura came home from college for the first time! It was really fun, we went to the cider mill with Maddy and got donuts and cider (the bee's attacked us throughout). Later in the day we went with Julee to see Whip It (which I thought was really good. I highly reccomend it). After that we went to Laura's house and watched SNL and The Swan Princess (which, aside from Jean Bob really wasn't that good). It was really nice to see both of them again, I really wish we could hang out more often! Laura is coming home again this weekend again though, so we are going to hang out together all day tomorrow =) (Last weekend after the cider mill we went to Target and got Bumpits! I have never felt as cool as I did at the check out with my Bumpits and trashy gossip magazines in front of me. Soo awesome. I'm also rather excited to try them out this weekend...again, I'm a dork).

Sooo that's pretty much it. Oh, aside from the fact that I am swamped with school work and college is eating me alive, I really love it, which is good, considering I was dreading it so much. So...yay =)

Conversation at dinner tonight:

Dad: Who left the light on in the bathroom?

Devin: ...David Cook told me to!

Mom: What?

Devin: David Cook!

Everyone: ...

Devin: You know..."leave a light on when I'm gone..."

Dad: Well David Cook isn't paying our electric bill.

Me: That's true.

Mom: David Cook is also a very successful and wealthy rock star.

Me: Also a vaild point.

Devin: ...I'll go turn it off. *mutters* I don't know how you expect him to get home now...

I love my family, so much =)

in other news, If you haven't listened to Paramore's new cd, "Brand New Eyes", I highly suggest you do so. It's all kinds of amazing =)

Oh! and another thing: thedavidcook one new song done-ish. off to dinner with RStar and his missus.

YAYYYYY! I need to hear this song asap. I'm craving new Cookie music =)

-So, Friday was supposed to be my first day of college classes, but the professors decided to go on strike, so I have no classes until further notice. In the meantime, I'm getting emailed homework, and have to do it without being taught anything first. I kind of hope classes start soon because I don't want to pay for a semester of classes and barely go.
 
-My mom, Devin and I went into town and hung out to celebrate my mom's last friday off. It was really nice out, so we walked around a lot and got lunch at this old 50's inspired diner, which was fun. I replaced my digital camera (that I smashed by falling on a rock earlier in the summer) at Target and wrote my first check! It was very exciting, except I freak out because I take too long writing them and feel like the cashier waiting for me is getting annoyed.
