*I apologize for not writing in a while, I have gone to the dark side, and they have Twilight. For anyone that doesn't know, I have been adamant for the past for the last couple years that I would never read the Twilight books/watch the Twilight movies because I hate vampires. A couple of weeks ago my mom decided that she wanted to rent the movie, and because I had nothing better to do, I decided to watch with her (and planned on just not telling my friends. I had made such a big deal about not liking it that I didn't want them to make a big deal out of it in turn.) When I ended up loving it, I decided to try the book, just to see if I could have possibly been wrong this whole time. It turns out, it was not only possible but so possible that I am now addicted and love it. I'm only on the second book, but I figured it was time to come back to lj instead of just creeping around like I have been.

-These last four five days have been utterly crazy.

-Friday: It was forensics day, which was fun, and a great reason to miss two hours of class. Nothing else really happened until after school. Devin went to his sixth grade dance and my mom and dad took me to macy's to look for prom dresses. They were really expensive and really ugly picked over, so we just went around the mall and hung out until we had to pick Dev up.

-Saturday: This day was the most fun I've had in a while. The weather was in the upper 70 degrees, so I finally got to break out the flip flops and skirts! My mom and I took a road trip to Rochester for the day to go prom dress/purse/shoes shopping. I got my dress at Parisian (which is like Macys, but a lot cheaper in price, not in quality). It’s sooo pretty. It's knee length, spaghetti strapped, and peachy pink (the color is actually called sherbert. There is an under layer that is orange, and then the top layer is semi see-through pink so the orange shows through and makes it look pearlescent.) The best part is that it was only $62, which is half the price of most of the dresses that I saw the night before at Macys. =) After dress shopping we went to a diner for lunch. The food was amazing but way too bug so we dropped off the leftovers at my grandparents house. We showed my grandma my dress and she noticed that the tag thing that spits out ink if you try to get it off yourself was still on, so we would have to go back to the store and get it removed. We decided to take a detour and head downtown instead, and went into this cool boutique that sold shoes. It actually was an old house that was renovated into a shoe store, and was around when my mom was younger (she got the shoes for her prom there =D ) The shoes were extremely high (which I love considering I am 5 feet 2 inches XD), sliver, and strappy. I love them. My mom found a purse there that matched the color of my dress perfectly. I don't even care about the dance; I'm just excited to have a reason to get dressed up now! After all of that, we finally went back to get my dress detagged and went home. Overall it was a very sucessful day of shopping. =)
