Hello All! My name is Kayla, and this is my journal. I'm 17. I'm a senior in high school. I'm Polish, Irish, Serbian and Dutch. I am from America's high five, Michigan. I come from what I guess could be considered a typical family, with a mom and dad, and a little brother (although, spend 5 minutes with us and you see we are far from normal). I also have a not so typical extended family, which has more members than I can count, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am very much a cat person, so if you don't like cats, I suggest you keep your opinions to yourself, and we will be fine. I have the two most beautiful cats in the world btw. Luna and Nikita. I also have a fish. His name is Todd...yes, with two d's. My friends are amazing and have been with me through some really hard times. I know I could trust them with my lives, and I just hope they can do the same with me. (I love you Julee, Brigitta, Laura, Sable and Stephanie!) I am a photographer. I am a drawer. I am an artist. I am a reader. I love dancing in the rain, and I love sitting in the cottage up north, coloring in my 'My Little Pony' coloring book with my cousin Lila (who is one of my best friends), when it's thunder storming off the lake, my uncle and cousin Brian playing acoustic guitar and the whole family singing along. It's times like those when I really realize my life is awesome.
I want to be a teacher "when I grow up". An early elementary school teacher to be exact. I want to help mold the lives of young children, make a difference in their lives. My mom has been running an in home daycare...in our home...since I was two, so I have grown up taking care of kids. It comes as second nature to me, and I just love it. I can't wait to be a mother (although I totally am going to wait, no kids out of wedlock for me. I'm not a strong enough person to raise a kid on my own.) I'm completely in love with the idea of being in love, and terrified all at the same time. I'm not a complicated person, if you just listen.

Ok, so here's the thing...
I have been known to obsess over various celebs. Now, my friends might say this is an understatement, but don't listen to them. They are just jealous. My favorites? Blake Colin Lewis and David Roland Cook. They are my husband(s)/boyfriend(s). I could (and do) listen to them all day long. And, let's just face it, they are freaking HOT. So...that helps. If these last statements weren't enough to tip this off, I am an American Idol addict, and I don't care who knows it. After David and Blake, I love Jordin Brianna Sparks, Jason Rene Castro, and Carrie Marie Underwood. As we are on the topic of singers, I loveee Taylor Swift. If I could pick one celebrity to meet that isn't Blake or David, it would be Taylor hands down. She seems like the coolest person, I'd love to know what it was like to know her.

I am a reality tv junkie. When I say this, I am completely serious too. American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, Dancing With The Stars, Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, Survivor, Jon and Kate Plus Eight, What Not To Wear, Hell's Kitchen, etc. So You Think You Can Dance amazes me. I wish I could do what the people on that show do, and I love it.

I spend a lot of time chatting with my friends online, while multi-tasking to the extreme, because I'm a ninja...it's true.
I am online more than normal, and some might say it's pathetic, but hey, I don't question your obsession with The Simpsons or Gossip Girl now do I? I love playing Michigan and Apples to Apples. I spend most of my time laughing. I get high on air and drunk on juice boxes with my friends, because like me, they can have fun without changing their level of consciousness. Our idea of a good Saturday night is watching Jon and Kate plus eight or Gilmore girls on DVD in our pjs, eating popcorn and then coming alive at 2 in the morning, learning high school musical dances and singing along to Taylor swift at the top of our lungs. We buy snuggies, we go to Disney movies, and we waste too much money at target, but we love doing it.

I'm a bit of a germaphobe, thanks to Brigitta :)
In addition to germs, I am a full on arachnophobia, and am way too easily grossed out by anything health related.
I dance too much and listen to music more than natural, but I have a fun time doing it.
I live for the summer and try not over analyze things, although I know I do.
I don't understand myself fully yet, but feel free to try for yourself, and if you do, help me out :)
